think of it like quake live

closed beta (testing) -> pub beta (gain interest/popularity) -> full release (money)

small forum tournaments -> medium tournaments with players from ql/q3 -> organized tournaments w. prizepool

Maybe we should have 2 brackets. One for CPM and one for VQ3, because more people know how to play VQ3 than CPM :l

yes, tourneys promote interest, even if they are small!

CPMA =/= CPM

vq3 is a part of cpma, cpm is part of cpma. i'd be OK w/ a vq3 duel/tdm bracket... but fuck vq3 ctf...fuck it up its ass

If we're going to start with just our small group + people we know, I suggest doing a 2v2 TDM or a Single Elimination Duel cup.

Yes, but if we don't have the people for the tourney, then it all backfires...

Also If we had a seperate Vq3 tourney it would further divide our potential participants up, and make each side (CPMA/Vq3) smaller, unless we set them at a seperate time/date.

we don't need a 64 player tourney.. fuck man, 8 would be enough for a 2 day tourney (double elim).

as long as we have a name out, and people know that we are doing tournaments, it garners interest

CPMA is just the mod. We have VQ3 Duel and VQ3 TDM. Besides, I have jobs and stuff to carry out in real life. You only have some school, hehe.

Bleh, fine. Sunny can be the main overseer of the tourney, but we're all still going to help get this up and running. I guess I can do the 1v1 VQ3 and maybe 2v2 TDM if rush will be my buddy :3
